Walsh Family - CAVC Scholarship Foundation

In 1996 the California Automatic Vendors Council Board of Directors, recognized a need to provide financial assistance to individual students who had a desire to further their education.

The foundation was originally funded by generous contributions from CAVC members and a matching gift made by Bill Walsh and Continental Vending. The goal of the Walsh Family CAVC Scholarship Foundation is to be responsive to employers’ interests, especially as they pertain to education.

Through the granting of scholarships, the foundation assists individual students who have shown a desire to further their education. Over the years the foundation has given out scholarships for post high education for numerous students sponsored by CAVC member companies.

In addition, the foundation has provided scholarships for CAVC members to attend NAMA education programs including the Executive Development Program at Michigan State University and the Supervisor Development Program.

To apply for the college scholarships candidates must meet certain qualifications outlined on the application and must be a full time high school or college student at an accredited vocational school, accredited business college, junior college, four year college or graduate school. They must also be sponsored by a CAVC member company. They must submit their application along with the school transcripts by the deadline listed on the application.

Each year the foundation holds a drawing at the CAVC Spring Board Meeting and the winners are drawn at random. We encourage all CAVC members to submit applicants for the scholarships.
