Default Electrolyte Replacement Beverages in Schools

SB1255 removes electrolyte replacement beverages from the list of beverages that may be sold in schools during specific hours. If passed, the bill would go into effect in July 1, 2011. Currently only fruit based and vegetable based drinks, drinking water, milk and electrolyte beverages can be sold on school campuses from one half-hour before the start of school until one half-hour after the end of school.
